How to make negative & interrogative
English Grammar
Negative & Interrogative sentences (Future Tense):
Like other tenses, there
are also a few rules to change the
affirmative sentences into negative and interrogative sentences.
In case of future tenses, there is only one category as there is always a helping verb in the sentence so we have to put “NOT” to make it negative sense as:
Affirmative sentences
He will pass the exams.
You will be running a car.
We shall have won the match.
They will have been cooking for ten minutes.
Negative Concept
He will not pass the exams.
You will not be running a car.
We shall not have won the match.
They will not have been cooking for ten minutes.
Interrogative
Concept
To make it interrogative, we will change the place
of the helping verb and put it at start like these sentences.
Will he pass the exams?
Will you be running a car?
Shall we have won the match?
Will they have been cooking for ten minutes?
Negative-Interrogative Concept
To make it interrogative, we will change the place
of the helping verb and put it at start like these sentences.
Will he not pass the exams?
Will you not be running a car?
Shall we not have won the match?
Will they not have been cooking for ten minutes?
