A consumer wishes to buy more goods and highly standard goods within his limited given income. For this purpose, he tries to substitute one good for other but the rate of exchange will consecutively decrease as he does so. This rate of substitution that will continuously decrease is known as law if diminishing marginal rate of substitution in economics.
