ISO-Quant lines show all the combinations of
possible outputs of a firm. The output remains the same at each given point on
the line. The ISO-quant curves are
similar to the indifference curves in consumer’s behavior theory. The ISO-quant
curves represent the maximum production level of the firm but the Indifferences
curves show the utility-maximization for a consumer. The ISO-quant curves possess some important
characteristics & properties as like those of indifference curves. These are
as under:
These curves are always negative
These curves are always convex
Higher the curve, higher the production
Never intersect each other

خط مساوی پیداوارایک ایسا خط ہے جو کسی فرم کی ممکنہ پیداواری صلاحیت کی نمائندگی کرتا ہےجس کے ہر نقطے پر فرم کو مساوی پیداوار حاصل ہوتی ۔ خط مساوی
پیداواربھی خط ِ عدم ترجیح جیسے ہی ہوتے ہیں۔ خط مساوی پیداوارکا تعلق فرم کی پیداواری صلاحیت سے ہے، جبکہ خطوط عدم ترجیح کا تعلق صارف کے ممکنیہ طور پر
حاصل ہونے والے افادہ سے ہوتا ہے۔ فرم دو عاملین کی مدد سے پیداواری حد کے حصول کی کوشش کرتی ہے۔ دو عاملین محنت اور سرمایہ کی کتنی اکائیاں لگائی
جائیں ۔اس کا فیصلہ ایک فرم اپنے مساوسی پیداوار کے خطوط اور مساوی مسارف کے خطوط کے پیش ِ نظر کرتی ہے۔ ان مساوی پیداوار کے خطوط کی کچھ اہم
خصوصیات بھی ہوتی ہیں۔ یہ خصوصیات بالکل ویسی ہوتی ہیں
جیسا کہ خطوط عدم ترجیح کی خصوصیات ہوتی ہیں۔ یہ خصوصیات مندرجہ ذیل ہیں۔
خطوط مساوی پیداوار ہمیشہ منفی جھکاؤ والے ہوتے
ہیں۔
خطوط مساوی پیداوار ہمیشہ محدب ہوتے ہیں۔
خطوط مساوی پیداوار جتنا بلند ہو گا اتنی پیداوار
زیادہ ہو گی۔
خطوط مساوی پیداوار ایک دوسرے کو قطع نہیں کرتے۔
